Sunamganj, Jan 26 (UNB) - Foreign Minister Abdus Samad Azad today said the government announced various incentive packages to encourage the entrepreneurs to set up news industries in private sector in the country.


He was addressing the installation ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of Sunamganj Chamber of Commerce and Industries as chief guest here this (Friday) morning.


Samad Azad said peace and stability is a must for building the national economy on strong footing. He called upon the people to identify and boycott those who are trying to destabilize the country through anarchy, chaos and terrorism.


The Minister urged the opposition lawmakers to join the parliament for the welfare of their electorates not to protect their salaries and allowances, said a handout.


Chaired over by chamber president Oskar Nath Roy, the function was addressed, among others, by FBCCI vice president Mohammad Ali, former vice president MA Munim, newly elected chairman Nurul Huda Mukut and Sylhet chamber president Safwan Chowdhury.
